Well, if you are an Xbox fan then please turn away because you will not want to read this, unless your thinking twice.
Here is why I think the PS4 will win the console war.
Press Conference Win
When the consoles were being announced, Sony left out a lot of the details and left them open, this gave Microsoft no choice but to jump straight in with the their plans, this consequently led to them being frowned upon by the gaming community because Microsoft announced the DRM. Sony played it very clever and then only after the conference stated that they were not going to go with the DRM system, this put Microsoft behind at an early stage.
So we can see from this that Microsoft is already struggling.
The hardware specifications, now although the PS3 beat the Xbox 360 in terms of performance and hardware in this generation, early signs have revealed that this next generation people are more wary of the hardware than ever before, giving them a more powerful processor than the Xbox One and a better graphics card, this might not be a key factor in every gamer’s mind but certainly will have an impact on the sales of the Xbox One.
A lot of people think both consoles share the same graphics card, but you will be mistaken the PS4 has more cores giving it a 1152 amount of cores where as the Xbox One only has 768. Hens why the big announcement “PS4 is 50% more powerful.”
Another key factor which makes PS4 the winner is the RAM, they both share the same amount of RAM 8GB but the PS4 uses GDDR5 RAM where as the Xbox One only uses the GDDR3 RAM.
Now we come to the prices, with Sony announcing the price for the PlayStation 4 to be £349 where as the Xbox One is priced at £429.
So what this is saying is, for those Xbox One fans out there is that you are paying £80 more for a console which is less powerful and has less power. Don’t get me wrong the performance of both consoles will still be great but before you rush in to buy Xbox One just think for a moment and read the facts.
I am in no way against the Xbox One, the Xbox One is a decent console, but personally I do not think it has the edge in the next generation of consoles.
Do you agree or do you disagree? let the debate begin.
