All the SimCity fans are in for a treat this year because the latest installment in the Sim City franchise takes the game to an all new level. Featuring the new Glassbox engine, multiplayer online gaming, stunning 3D graphics and several changes from the previous version this game gets you hooked from the moment you log into it. For the first time SimCity comes with an interface similar to that of Google Maps enabling users to visualize the city that they build exactly the way they build it.
The game is all about anticipating how and what you want in your city. There are three main zones in the city which include residential, industrial and commercial. Unlike the previous versions of the game, this version has curved and non-orthogonal roads and several different areas that can be classified into various road types. Roads are the most essential part of this game as these roads carry sewage, power and water all across the city.
The more you play this game, the more you learn about it. Even after you’ve played for hours and hours you’ll keep discovering new sides to the game plan and this trial and error is what leads to the perfect city being built. However, you also have to take into account the Sims and their highly unpredictable behavior. If the cities are not according to their liking they begin to leave, when too many Sims leave the cities your income starts falling. If the income takes a hit, you cannot expand your city, hence there is not one but a hundred factors taken into account when playing this addictive simulation game of urban planning and building.
Being connected to the internet all the time is the only downside to this game as it does not support offline playing. The servers got severely overloaded and this gave the game some very bad reviews. EA however fixed this is record time and got the game back on for all the fans. A game that will keep you addicted for hours together, SimCity is one game that you should definitely buy.
